Drove up to Edmonton to watch this one live. There were A LOT of Flames fans in the building, so it was pretty funny when Calgary scored and there was lots of cheering.

This might be the best game I've seen the Flames play live. They didn't give Edmonton anything 5 on 5 and they made McDavid look largely invisible out there. There were tons of penalties against both teams, and it felt to me that the refs were trying to stop things from boiling over and getting out of hand. There was a brief period of about 5 minutes where I was nervous, but beyond that Calgary just dominated and certainly looked like the better team.

Gotta say though, they've got a pretty nice rink up there. Really cool facility. Really wish they didn't charge $12 a beer though.

They then write in the description that he sustained a cut to his eye that didn't receive a penalty...didn't he get that cut from Gio? And didn't Gio get a double minor for it? Get off McDavid's Richard. The refs called every (frank)ing thing last night. Even Hathaway for getting hit by Lucic into Koskinen. Still don't know how he got a penalty there.

He bled twice. The one that made the good pictures was from Hamonic I think right after Hathaway tried to mug him. I think the Gio high stick was a mouth bleeder.

Weird, I recall seeing him leaking from his above his eye after Gio went to the box.

No it was Hamonic who did the first bit of damage to the eye, Gio got 4 for the stick to the mouth and surprised McCrybaby (Hitchcock) didn't cry after the game. What a save by Kockskin though.

Eklund saying Flames have been scouting Zuccarello which means they're very likely not but that'd be a great pickup!

Last time I checked the Rangers were looking for a 2nd+prospect which is very doable
